Recent Researches in Low Level Laser Therapy

In October, I was invited to speak at The World Association of Laser Therapy (WALT) 2018 conference held in Nice, France. It was an honor to give a talk on the treatment and management of dementia using low level laser. I had a lot of interest from my counterparts from around the world.  We had some great discussions regarding how to effectively improve cognitive function and daily performance of patients with dementia or poor memory.

The conference attracted over 300 attendees from all parts of the world and I saw some very interesting exhibitors with ground-breaking new technologies. Other delegates spoke about the use of light and lasers in the following clinical areas:

  • Neurorehabilitation (Parkinson’s, dementia, brain injury, and stroke)
  • Muscle performance and Sports Medicine
  • Cancer care
  • Wound healing
  • Ophthalmology
  • Dentistry
  • Acupuncture and
  • Regenerative medicine

It was very exciting for me to see so much evidence from around the world on the effectiveness of low level laser in the management of existing conditions, maintenance of good health and prevention of diseases.

This conference showed that low level laser therapy has broad applications in many clinical scenarios and it continues to develop at a rapid pace. Both in terms of the development of better protocols and the invention of new technologies.

Feel free to check out the conference website here: https://walt.no

As always, please get in contact if you have any questions about how low level lasers can be used to help you.
